One thing is to make sure that when you deal with your client(s), make sure you make your deals by written agreements or contracts. What you need to declare in related to taxes is when you invest in brand new equipment is to make sure you keep your bills and declare them in the yearly tax, so you can get money in return.

cant u just "lose" some contract receipts and claim that ur dj' buiseness is slow, and at the same time write off ur equipement expenses so the government dont fist people in tax dollars?
